Third Place in the International Association Pacific Rim Universities Global Health Case Competition: A Global Health Minor collaboration

[9 April 2020, UCLA International Institute] Over 6 weeks in Spring of 2019, six undergraduate global health minor students designed a social media-based intervention that expressed a unique view on the value of communications technology in global health, which won them 3rd place in the 2019 Global Health Case Competition of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities. Complimentary activities such as a global health minor and volunteer work with organizations like the Health Equity Network of the Americas can increase engagement with health policy and inspire students to do what these students have done to promote health equity globally.
